Design Blok Prague 2026
Project description
Bodo Sperlein’s showcase at DesignBlok 2026 transformed the Czech Modernist Pavilion in the gardens of the Museum of Decorative Arts (UPM) in Prague into a unified spatial experience. Bringing an international design practice into direct dialogue with the city’s architectural heritage, the exhibition established a single architectural framework and material narrative - embedding each partner brand within a cohesive visual identity that complemented the pavilion's distinct cubist character.
Partners
Gravelli by Godelmann · Meissen · GAN Rugs · Coordonné · Lobmeyr
New collections presented
Cascade column and Cove for Gravelli by Godelmann; Edifice porcelain for Meissen; handmade textiles for GAN Rugs; custom wallcoverings for Coordonné; expanded Orchid lighting family for Lobmeyr.
My involvement
Responsible for 2D architectural drawings, 3D CAD spatial planning, object placement, and the structural design of the central Cascade column. Managed complete setup and teardown logistics across the pavilion and gardens, coordinating multiple partner presentations within a single coherent spatial narrative.
