BLOOM LIGHTING
Product description
A wall-mounted lighting collection in mouth-blown glass, set in filigree metalwork. Each flower form is crafted at the Gustav van Treeck workshops in Munich. Colour gradients moving through the glass in organic flows, the natural surface texture amplifying every shift in light and shadow. Bloom sits between sculptural wall object and architectural detail, recalling historic leaded glazing while remaining entirely contemporary in character.
Project description
Developed as part of Bodo Sperlein's first comprehensive collaboration with Gustav van Treeck, founded 1887. One of the most important mosaic and glass studios in Europe. Debuted at MENU, Milan Design Week 2026.
My involvement
Led the design process from concept through to production. Responsible for glass form artwork, colour gradient development, and technical drawings for the Van Treeck workshops, translating organic forms into artwork executable in mouth-blown glass while preserving the natural variation that gives each piece its character.
